Delhi Commission Internship Opportunity at DCPCR-2025

Are you passionate about child rights and eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children? The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) is offering an exciting internship opportunity as part of its Foundational Learning and Numeracy (FLN) at Child Care Institutions (CCI) Project. This is your chance to work with a statutory body dedicated to safeguarding children’s rights and improving their lives.

About DCPCR

The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) is a statutory body established under the Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act, 2005. It operates under the Government of NCT of Delhi and is committed to ensuring the rights and well-being of children. The Commission focuses on:

  • Protecting children from exploitation, abuse, trafficking, and violence.
  • Safeguarding children from sexual offences and child marriage.
  • Ensuring the right to education, health, and nutrition.
  • Advocating for children with special needs and protecting them from substance abuse.
  • Promoting legal protections and the right to play.

DCPCR works closely with various government departments and NGOs to monitor, review, and advise on policies and safeguards for children.

About the FLN at CCI Project

Delhi is home to over 100 Child Care Institutions (CCIs), housing approximately 5,000-6,000 children. These children come from challenging backgrounds, including abandonment, orphanhood, child labour, trafficking, and parental incarceration. Many lack foundational literacy and numeracy skills, which hinders their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

To address this, DCPCR, in collaboration with the Child Welfare Committee and the Department of Women & Child Development, has launched the Foundational Skills Program. This initiative aims to equip children in CCIs with essential learning skills, empowering them for a brighter future.
